    Dickinson State University opens it's season with the musical The Baker's Wife.  At least the bickering residents of a rural Fench village can enjoy the heavenly bread of their new baker. But when a handsome lothario tries to lure away the baker's attractive wife, the baker loses all zest for life and for baking, and the villagers much band together to help. This bittersweet and gentle musical tale of love and forgiveness is brimming with old world charm. Stephen Schwartz composed the richly romantic music and Joseph Stein wrote the comic and worldy wise book.
