The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon

The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and several actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like 'Snow White', 'Cinderella', and 'Hansel and Gretel' to more bizarre, obscure stories like 'The Devil's Grandmother'. A wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.

The CHS Theatre Department will present The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon on February 19-20 at 7:00 and at 2:00 on February 21 in the CHS Auditorium. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a zany comedy by Don Zolidis. In the play two narrators try to recreate all 209 of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales into one fable using common stories like Snow White and Cinderella and lesser-known stories like The Devil's Grandmother. Tickets will be available at the door. Admission prices are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and senior citizens. BPS employees get in free with their name badges. The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com).

Before the Friday evening performance of the play, literary magazine students will be selling tables full of donated books, DVD's, and CD's to raise funds for the publication of their magazine in May. Prices will range from fifty cents to one dollar. There will be something for every age and interest.
