Everyone wants to be FAMOUS, right? Find out what happens when SEVEN NORTH DAKOTA GIRLS discover -- they're far from famous. Will they riot, cry, move to Hollywood? You will love this humorous and heartfelt RADIO PLAY -- complete with sound effects. Written by "THE GROUP THAT OPENED THE BOX" and their mentors, Karen Van Fossan and Dr. Kathy Blohm. Sound effects by Kris Kitko. Photographic display by Kristi Rasmussen. What is "The Group That Opened the Box"? A writing and performance collective of seven courageous teens who are challenging the public silence about adolescent sexuality, desire, and every important topic they can think of. Stick around after the show for a multi-media OPEN MIC. Bring a poem, song, dance, rant, you name it. Sponsored by BSC Theatre Dept., Chambers & Blohm Psychological Services, Cinema 100 Film Society, Dakota West Arts Council, Dragon Jane Theater Company, ND Council on the Arts, ND Women's Network, Open Meadows Foundation, and PFund Foundation.
