    Adults 50 and better invited to Aug. 18 open house for OLLI@UND in Bismarck Bismarck area learners over 50 can join instructors for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of North Dakota (OLLI@UND) in a Bismarck open house and course preview Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Bismarck State College. BSC, in collaboration with the University of North Dakota, hosts the open house from 4 to 6 p.m. in Room 101 of the National Energy Center of Excellence on the BSC campus. OLLI@UND in Bismarck fall course information and registration will be available. OLLI@UND is a membership organization for those 50 and over who want to experience cultural and social growth through learning and sharing ideas, opinions, and talents. Classes begin Sept. 7. Topics include Spanish, architectural history of Bismarck’s homes, social justice and the movies, political economy in the 21st century, George Armstrong Custer, and writing your own stories. A day trip to Knife River Indian Villages is also planned. Programs are purely for enjoyment without tests, grades or need for prior college experience.
