Bismarck State College presents "Comic Potential" by Alan Ayckbourn Wed.-Sat., November 3-6 at 7:30 and Sun., Nov. 7 at 2:30 in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

The cast consists of 12 actors playing 22 roles including a number of “Actoids” - robotic actors used for daytime television. The play explores the nature of comedy , love, and what it means to be human.

"Alan Ayckbourn's Comic Potential (1999) is – I thought so when I saw it in London, again when I read it, again when I reviewed it here (February 7, 2000), and most recently when I re-experienced it at the Manhattan Theatre Club – one of the finest plays of all my theatergoing decades. It is a riotous farce, a tremulously exquisite love story, a superb satire on television and other human follies, a wise and serious drama full of playfully tossed-off profundities about sundry aspects of life and art, and an irresistible evening in the theater. If you are going to see only one play in your life, make it this one." – John Simon - New York Theatre Review
