The Bismarck State College ChoirFest will take place on November 19 and 20 with the final performance at the Belle Mehus Auditorium in Bismarck on November 20 at 3 p.m. It is an opportunity for BSC and regional high school choir students to rehearse and perform major choral works under the direction of a nationally known guest conductor. This year's guest conductor is Dr. Bruce Chamberlain, director of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Arizona. In the past 15 years, over 100 students annually gather from Bismarck State College and area high schools including Bismarck High School, Saint Mary's Central High School, Bismarck Century High School, Shiloh Christian School, Mandan High School, and high schools from New Salem, Wilton, Strasburg, Richardton-Taylor, Glen Ullin, Steele-Dawson, Drake, Hazen, Center, Underwood and Williston. ChoirFest promotes the BSC music program to a wider audience in the Bismarck-Mandan community and surrounding region. Admission is $10 general admission and $5 students/seniors.
