    Central Dakota Children’s Choir will present “Angels Sing - Gloria” on Thursday, December 16, and Friday, December 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Belle Mehus Auditorium. This is their 13th annual Christmas celebration and is sponsored by Basin Electric Power Cooperative. Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for senior citizens and students, and free for children age 5 and younger. Tickets will be available at Eckroth Music, Herberger’s, CDCC Office (258-6515) and online (www.aboutcdcc.org) prior to the concert or at the door the day of the concert.

    The concert features each of CDCC’s five choirs. Audience members will hear a mix of traditional Christmas music as well as some lesser known Christmas tunes. For the finale, the choirs will combine to perform portions of the well-known choral work, the Vivaldi “Gloria”. Antonio Vivaldi is recognized as one of the greatest Baroque composers, and his influence during his lifetime was widespread over Europe during the early 18th century. It is a benchmark of the success of CDCC that they are able to perform this major work with the 300 youth from the region.
