The annual tradition of Choreographers' Showcase is for visual artists, musicians, and different choreographers to come together to create entirely new pieces for NPD in modern, contemporary ballet, and jazz. This year, choreographers David Gensheimer, Matthew Christensen, Marlo Miller, and Nephi Sanchez are creating new works for NPD.

As always Choreographers' Showcase program has old along with something new: some classical along with contemporary. NPD will also be performing the short classical ballet, Paquita, in the second act. Paquita was originally performed in Russia and dates back to 1881. It features music with an exciting Spanish flavor by Leonid Minkus and choreography by Marius Petipa.
