Dakota Stage Ltd. is proud to present SCREWTAPE, the delightfully devilish dark comedy crafted for the stage by James Forsyth from the C.S. Lewis novel, “The Screwtape Letters.” Starring an eclectic and energetic cast of DSL regulars including Austin Flemmer, David Puma and Amanda Pitzer, featuring newcomers John Clemo as Screwtape (Capital Shakespeare veteran) and Amber Rae Bernhardt (DSL Executive Director,) and directed by Anne Green, SCREWTAPE will prove to be a fabulously fiery fete.

Screwtape, a senior devil, has assigned his negligent nephew Wormwood, a junior fiend, the task of seizing the soul of a loveable young man and popping him into the pit. In a fierce contest of temptation, manipulation and frustration, the demons terrorize their people puppets, and one another, in a thrilling linguistic tryst. In the process, all parties are forced to face the dazzling dichotomy of good and evil, heaven and hell, and see firsthand the extraordinary power of faith, hope, love, and the soulful strength of humanity.
