    The 2011 Season of Visiting Scientists Series Presents
    “Lights Out-The Coming Electricity Crisis” –Guest Speaker Jason Makansi

    Location: Bismarck State College – National Energy Center of Excellence in the Basin Electric Auditorium Room 304. (1200 Schafer Street)
    This presentation is free and open to the public

    Jason Makansi, President of Pearl Street, Inc., Principal of Pearl Street Liquidity Advisors, and Executive Director of the Coalition to Advance Renewable Energy through Bulk Storage (CAREBS), is an independent consultant in the electricity industry. Mr. Makansi has been analyzing the technological, business, environmental and regulatory issues in electricity production and delivery. As an independent consultant, he has advised Fortune 500 companies and garage-based start-ups. He has also been interviewed on CNBC, NPR and has written countless articles for industry magazines.
    The Visiting Scientists Series, includes representatives from Bismarck State College, Bismarck Public Schools, Gateway to Science, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, St. Mary’s Central High School, USGS, The University of Mary, and the ND Society of Professional Engineers.
