Theo Art School Spring Break Camp Art Attack#1
Youth Art Month is a month of promoting art and art education in the United States. It is observed in March, with thousands of Art schools participating!
Theo Art School is Celebrating youth Art Month by hosting a Spring Break Camp on Friday March 11th 2011
Kids Create!
Looking for something fun and creative for your child to do during spring break? Your child can be an artist for a day at Theo Art Attack Camp #1
Campers will read and learn about the Masters for inspiration, then head back to the tables to create their own 2D and 3D works of art.
9:am-3:pm
Bring your own lunch!
$35 for members $37.50 for non members.
THE CAMP
This hands-on camp will provide art projects that will challenge, entertain and inspire your child's imagination! Young artists 6 and up will have fun exploring the basics of working with:
-watercolors!
-drawing cartoons and Comics!
-sculpey clay, learning simple ways to create animals, people, small pots and structures. Create paper mache animals or beings and build strange assemblages with wood, odds and ends, and more. By being creative their art pieces will take three dimensional form!, create a journal and take all their masterpieces home!
Young artists explore their creativity with an explosion of fun art materials, basic techniques, and projects! Students will paint, sculpt, draw, glue, and more during this exciting class. Please have your child wear an old shirt or paint smock to class.
Art Party
You're invited! On Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. campers will display their artwork for friends and family to see at the Art Party!
Extended Care
Doors will open early at 8:30am and Theo Art School will close at 4:00pm for the day.
Campers can come to play games, make art and watch a movie about Art! Popcorn will be provided. Families are welcome to drop off and pick up their camper anytime within the Extended Care hours.
Families are invited to join their young artist at the Art Party at 3:30 p.m.
Camp FAQ
What should my child wear?
Dress for a mess!
What about lunch?
Campers should bring a sack lunch and drink.
Will campers go outside?
Yes! (depends on the weather) Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
What is the class size?
The camp is limited to 25 students.
Who teaches the class?
Classes are taught by local art teachers and artists.
