Urban Landscape with Gregory Wilhelmi

In todays visual lexicon of paintings, street scenes and the urban landscape have become increasingly popular. In that context I am offering a day and a half specialized workshop. We will concentrate on successfully beginning and completing an oil painting of a cityscape or street scene. We will discuss perspective, color, composition and painting techniques. Please bring a personal photograph of an urban or small town scene to use as subject matter. Downtown Bismarck has great potential for downtown scenes I would suggest that you shoot the scene in early morning, late afternoon or evening, to add drama. Contact BAGA for Supply List.

About Gregory: Gregory Wilhelmi’s paintings reflect a wide variety of life’s explorations. Wilhelmi attended Montana State University, before earning a BFA from the University of Denver. He has exhibited throughout the western United States and internationally. Gregory maintains a studio in Roundup, Montana with wife Cheryl, and twin daughters Andrea and Juliet.
