Dashiell Hammett and The Maltese Falcon have intrigued readers for generations. Hammett - like Sam Spade - revealed little about himself during his lifetime. Decades of private and professional research have gone into uncovering his complicated story.

Join Hammett's granddaughter Julie Rivett and Hammett scholar and biographer Richard Layman as they share their discoveries. Don't miss this extraordinary opportunity to learn about the man, his writings, and his literary legacy. A question and answer session will follow the speakers.

Presented by Bismarck State College Campus Read on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.
