BookTalk at BSC will hold a discussion on Red Earth, White Earth by Will Weaver Feb. 5, 2012, from 1-3 p.m. in the BSC Library. Discussion leader will be Brian Palecek.

BookTalk is the Bismarck State College Library's annual book discussion series. Discussions are free and open to all. Books can be borrowed from local libraries or purchased from local booksellers.

The theme for BookTalk 2012, The Only Thing that Lasts, was inspired (in part) by this line from Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind:

"Do you mean to tell me, Katie Scarlett O'Hara, that Tara, that land doesn't mean anything to you? Why, land is the only thing in the world worth workin' for, worth fightin' for, worth dyin' for, because it's the only thing that lasts." - Gerald O'Hara
