Our Mission: To identify, preserve, interpret, and promote the heritage of North Dakota and its people. The Museum of the State Historical Society of North Dakota collects, interprets, and preserves diverse items relating to North Dakota and her citizens. We research, write, and produce exhibits for the state museum, historic sites, and our traveling exhibit program. We provide assistance to individuals and organizations on preserving and interpreting their collections. We are the oldest and largest museum in North Dakota. The museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums.
