    Comment on Facebook

The Belle Mehus Auditorium is a venue programmed and managed by the Bismarck Civic Center.

Home to the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony, Belle Mehus City Auditorium greeted its first crowd in January of 1914 and has been an important part of the community ever since, hosting everything from Italian operettas to screenings of "Birth of a Nation" to performances of the work of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms. The building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was painstakingly renovated in the mid-1990s thinks to the combined efforts of city leaders, arts organizations, citizens, and the private sector.

Belle was named after Belle Mehus a piano teacher from Bismarck.
