      05/31/12- 06/01/12	Art in the Elementary Classroom with Rebecca Young Sletten Bismarck Art & Galleries Association Art in the Elementary Classroom with Rebecca Young Sletten Presented by Bismarck Art & Galleries Association at Bismarck Art & Galleries Association May 31-June 1, 2012 This workshop is designed for classroom teachers who have little experience in teaching art and for teachers who would like to strengthen their art curriculum. Participants will experience demonstrations on various techniques and a variety of materials for classroom use and implementaiton. Fun and creative strategies and lesson handouts will be shared with participants that are ready to spark creative inspiration in their students.

Participants will be provided a unique approach to enhancing curriculum through various Japanese art and cultural experiences.       08/08/12- 08/09/12	Exploring American Artists with Paul Noot Bismarck Art & Galleries Association Exploring American Artists with Paul Noot Presented by Bismarck Art & Galleries Association at Bismarck Art & Galleries Association August 8-August 9, 2012 Participants in this workshop will learn the basics of a variety of art media, including; watercolor, oil pastel, and colored pencil, while exploring their use by American artists. Color theory and composition, as used by these artists, will also be discussed. Participants will look at ND State Curriculum and ND Art Standards to assist in the development of an art lesson to be implemented in their classrooms.
